Visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai must provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19 or a negative PCR test

According to the latest safety protocol announced by Expo 2020 Dubai, visitors aged 18 and above are required to present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test.

Vaccine proof recognized by the government of the visitor’s country or a negative PCR test must be presented within 72 hours of arrival. The PCR testing facility adjacent to Expo 2020 is available for non-vaccinated ticketholders who have not been tested within this time period. On the Expo 2020 website, you can find a map of the testing centres across the city in the coming months. A PCR test is free of charge with any valid Expo 2020 ticket or Expo 1-Day or Multi-Day Pass.

Participants, volunteers, contractors, and service providers at Expo are all mandated to receive vaccinations. We will maintain a two-metre social distancing at all times as well as sanitization stations on-site and mandatory face masks where applicable.

Deputy Minister of State for International Cooperation and Expo 2020 Dubai Director General, Reem Al Hashimy, said: “We must build on our success in combatting Covid-19 in the past eight months, where cases have declined by more than 84 per cent.” No matter what, we will continue to honor our commitment to the health and safety of all visitors, participants, and staff. Our commitment to hosting an exceptional experience that all the world can appreciate will continue to be guided by the guidance of the leading scientists and medical experts. This enhanced measure is responsible, agile, and necessary as we prepare to open our doors.”

Since the start of Covid-19, the UAE has assisted in maintaining the recovery of global tourism through Expo 2020 Dubai. Expo 2020’s incredible offerings will be more accessible to visitors from across the globe by updating our vaccination and testing requirements.
