Pavilion to showcase India’s march towards a $5T economy at Expo 2020 Dubai

According to a senior government official, India will showcase a resurgent India’s march to becoming a $5-trillion economy in the post-covid world at Expo 2020 Dubai. Secretary of Commerce and Industry, BVR Subrahmanyam, said India’s exceptional fight against Covid-19 and its emergence as a global business hub presenting great opportunities for the world will be the overarching theme of India’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The India pavilion will feature a number of Indian states that will display their culture, tradition, and tremendous business opportunities, along with the top corporate groups from India, as well as public sector companies. The India pavilion, which will also feature several cultural events, is set to host a number of government ministers, officials, and celebrities during the six months of Expo 2020.

As a nation ready to lead the world’s future, India will display its face at Expo 2020 Dubai on the pillar of sustainability alongside opportunity and mobility, Subrahmanyam said. The India pavilion will be one of the largest pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai and will have a kinetic façade made up of 600 individual colored blocks. Each panel rotates on its axis and depicts the different themes as it rotates. In addition to being a unique amalgamation of India’s cultural heritage and technological developments, it represents the theme of ‘India on the move’.

In celebration of 75 years of Indian independence, the pavilion will mirror the celebrations of Amrut Mahotsav, which was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will showcase the new India through numerous activities and cultural events. The four-story building is divided into two parts. Climate and biodiversity, space, urban development, tolerance and inclusivity, golden jubilee, knowledge and learning, travel and connectivity, global goals, health and wellness, food production and livelihoods, and water are identified as the zones.

Additionally, the pavilion will host and co-create leadership discussions, international trade conferences, and seminars to explore opportunities to partner with other participating nations. Visitors will also be able to witness star-studded nights, multiple cultural shows, Indian festivals celebrations, and relish Indian delicacies.
