AED 3000 Fine: Drivers of illegal taxis warned by Abu Dhabi police

Fine on illegal taxis-A fine of Dh3,000 and 30 days of vehicle impoundment await illegal taxi drivers in the capital, authorities have warned.

Abu Dhabi Police recently issued a statement warning of the dangers associated with illegal passenger transportation and its negative effects on passenger security.

In order to maintain public safety, the police urge the public to use approved and licensed taxis, which meet international safety standards, and to cooperate with the police in combating illegal transport.  

Fine on illegal taxis-It had been reported that many private cars have been seized by Abu Dhabi Police after the owners were caught smuggling passengers on different roads in Abu Dhabi.
