Etihad Airways announces the launch of flights from Bangladesh to Abu Dhabi on Sept 12

Residents of the UAE who have been fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization can fly to the UAE as of September 12, Etihad announced on Friday. Passengers traveling from Bangladesh who have been out of the country for more than six months can use this service.

In addition, Diplomats, UAE nationals, Golden/Silver visa holders are able to travel to Abu Dhabi.

Passengers must have the following documents in order to travel to Abu Dhabi:

Registration for ICA Smart Travel Service:

must be completed at least 48 hours before the first flight departure time. A QR code must accompany the test and be provided by an approved lab in the passengers’ origin city.

An airport rapid PCR test performed within six hours of boarding. Airport facilities must be able to perform rapid PCR tests. Passengers will not be able to take the test outside an airport. To make sure that they receive the results of their rapid tests on time, passengers must pre-register and arrive at the airport six hours in advance of their flights. Transiting through Abu Dhabi is not affected by this.
