An innovative project eases traffic congestion in Sharjah

Traffic signals use the latest technology to determine bottlenecks and check for them

Sharjah plans to reduce traffic delays by 20% through a new project announced recently. Traffic signals will be updated to incorporate the latest technology to check and identify bottlenecks in the ‘smart traffic control’ project.

By reducing carbon emissions from traffic stops, the new project will increase traffic smoothness, increase safety levels, reduce collisions, and cut pollution levels. It was announced during the meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. It also unanimously voted in favor of approving the list of candidates for the sixth batch of the professional diploma in child protection.
